End of week update...

Dear Family and Friends,
The Lord has helped me through another week…almost! :-) He helps me every day in SO many ways. Throughout this week, the words of this great hymn by Daniel Whittle have been going through my mind – over and over:
Moment by moment I’m kept in His love; Moment by moment I’ve life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine; Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
Never a trial that He is not there, Never a burden that He doth not bear,
Never a sorrow that He doth not share, Moment by moment, I’m under His care.
Never a heartache, and never a groan, Never a teardrop and never a moan;
Never a danger but there on the throne, Moment by moment He thinks of His own.
Never a weakness that He doth not feel, Never a sickness that He cannot heal;
Moment by moment, in woe or in weal, Jesus my Savior, abides with me still.
“Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5 (HCSB) What a GREAT promise!
I’m so thankful that through every moment of this week God has been with me…He has thought of His own – Michael J. Wright! Moment by moment I’ve had life from above! There is no better way to live than to have total peace with the Lord!
Thanks to each of you who have prayed for me this week.
God’s blessings this week:
·
The privilege of spending lots of time with my children…my four most valuable assets!
·
The privilege of seeing my friend and fellow amputee, Steve Bellis.
·
The privilege of meeting Patrick Kucera and some of his staff. What a gracious and kind man Patrick is. (Thank you Steve, for introducing me to Patrick!)
·
The privilege of meeting all of the Shetterly family! Greg and Micki, you have a very nice family…your sons are fine gentlemen and you have some sweet daughters-in-law. I’m learning that the aviation community is full of some
very nice people. Your family is a special blessing to my heart!
·
The privilege of working every day (so far) this week and being able to provide for my wife and four children. Also, we had our annual client event at ASI and I was able to see some of my clients and visit with them, this is
always a nice treat for me.
·
The privilege of seeing God provide for ALL of my needs, spiritual, emotional, and financially! God is so good!
Yes, moment by moment I’ve been kept by His love, and I am blessed beyond measure!
Today I learned that my first appointments for treatment will be on 5/23 & 5/24. Day 1 will involve a CT scan, a PET scan, and the surgical installation of a new port. Day 2 will involve an appointment with the oncologist, Dr. Brian Van
Tine and then a three hour chemotherapy treatment. So, next week is going to be a BIG week, involve travel to St. Louis, etc. Please pray with me that God will work out all transportation needs. Also, Shawna and the girls were on track and focused on the
goal of finishing all their school work by 5/25. Obviously, this is posing a threat to their schedule and plans, especially if Shawna goes with me. Shawna is torn between going with me and staying with our kids and doing school. Please pray that God will
make His way plain to us and work out all the details. I’m clinging to this promise:
“I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for” -
Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG).
I look forward to hearing form y’all…please feel free to write or send notes of encouragement. They always feed my soul! I trust all of you have a great weekend…make the most of EVERY moment of EVERY day that God gives you!
With love,
